We all know that the trend for having plants and greenery throughout your home has had a massive resurgence over the past year or so, but it does lead us to ask who has the time to potter around their home watering and tending to an array of different plants needs? I love having real plants in my home for their health benefits and there is something very satisfying about nurturing them, but equally when they start withering or even worse die completely, I find it infuriating because I don't know what I've done wrong - too much watering, not enough, they don't like the radiator, they are too cold on the window sill, they are too hot on the window sill...the list goes on!
So to get to the point, I think I have found the perfect solution to the need for greenery everywhere dilemma - you just need to mix it up, that is real plants where they are happy and easy for you to care for and faux plants (and by this I mean remarkably lifelike faux plants) in all of the other places i.e bathrooms, high shelves, hard to reach places and temperature fluctuating window sills!
What a mighty simple and effective solution this is and one that I am currently finding very easy to live with. There is nothing that makes me happier than walking past my faux fern and it looking perfect day after day, and besides a little tickle from the duster, it makes no demands, thus leaving a little more time to endeavour to keep my real plants alive, so I think that should be declared a win win!
If you feel inspired to enter the rather wonderful world of Faux Plants, we have an FBH collection available here for a browse.
