It feels like Spring is in the air and with a promise of sunshine later in the week, it's time to think about introducing beautiful Spring colours into our homes. We are loving the new soft pink palette, but especially so when combined with aqua blues and a touch of aubergine to give it that lift, that makes it not so 'pretty' pink. Talking of pink, I am currently obsessed with Farrow and Ball's new paint colour 'Peignor', a gorgeously elegant soft grey/pink, that will defintitely appearing on the walls of our home very soon :-) In the meantime some of our new 'Wit with Wisdom' signs are handpainted in 'Peignor', so you will see what I mean, such a beautiful colour.
A 'pop of pink will work well in all neutral colour schemes and especially with a grey or monochrome palette to give it a little 'zing'. As a complementary colour to blues, greens and aubergines and particularly well with on trend metallics, especially copper, which already has the pink undertone. If you don't really think of yourself as a 'pink' person, why not just experiment with a subtle touch, perhaps some fresh Spring flowers in a room first, which would be a great way of getting a feel for this lovely on trend colour.
